7. Supernatural season 9

In this season, celestial conflict takes center stage once again as Castiel, a fallen angel stripped of his grace, finds himself in the crosshairs of two warring angel factions. His loss of angelic powers, which has cruelly cast him into the world of mortals, has not only made him vulnerable but it’s also created an urgency that leaves viewers on the edge of their seats. As Castiel grapples with his newfound human existence, the fervor of angelic politics escalates around him, threatening to engulf him in its divine turmoil.

Yet, amid this celestial strife, the Winchester brothers face their own turmoil. For the first time, the road so often traveled together diverges, casting Sam and Dean onto separate, desperate paths. Tensions rise, with differing perspectives causing the brothers to part ways, and each to grapple with their personal demons.

In a shocking twist, Dean succumbs to the allure of the Mark of Cain, hoping its power will enable him to wield the First Blade against his adversaries (including the powerful demon Abbadon). However, this decision carries a hefty toll, leading to a jaw-dropping season finale that sees Dean’s humanity eclipsed by his transformation into a demon. As the screen fades to black, fans are left to ponder the profound implications of a Winchester brother crossing the line into the darkness they’ve so long combated.
