8. Supernatural season 7

This chapter of Supernatural unfolds in a decidedly intriguing manner, swerving the show’s narrative into an unexpected lane of angel and demon lore. Castiel, in a shocking display of power, declares himself the new deity, his newfound strength stemming from his absorption of every soul trapped in Purgatory. This divine twist steers the series into fresh thematic territory, turning the previous equilibrium on its head and introducing a dynamic element of uncertainty.

But hold on tight, as there’s another, even more fearsome adversary on the horizon! The Leviathans, touted as the oldest and most formidable of God’s monstrous creations, have somehow managed to retain their souls, despite Castiel’s heavenly tour de force.

While the Leviathans themselves aren’t the most interesting villains Supernatural has ever gifted us with, the storyline around their introduction was incredibly compelling, making them seem like the most unstoppable threat yet. These primordial behemoths presented a monumental challenge for Sam and Dean, who found themselves stumped, their past experiences offering no insights to quell this new threat. This, along with the brothers’ struggles to find effective countermeasures, injects an intense dose of suspense and excitement into the season, delivering a viewing experience that is truly gripping.
