9. Batman (Ben Affleck)

It was great to see Ben Affleck reprise the role of Batman one more time in The Flash. We knew heading into this movie that the DCEU’s Caped Crusader would be wiped from existence after Barry Allen’s time-travelling antics, so it allowed us bid the character farewell before that happened.

Batfleck made one heck of an entrance in the film, speeding onto the highway to stop a deadly virus from falling into the wrong hands (or the water supply). There wasn’t much beyond that (and the comedy in that scene has gone down mixed) but it was lovely to see him get to be a mentor to Barry one more time.

8. Wonder Woman

We knew we’d see the DCEU’s Batman one more time when The Flash came out. We didn’t expect to get a cameo from Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (especially since it was previously reported that her cameo in the movie had been cut alongside Henry Cavill’s), so when that golden lasso wrapped itself around Batman’s wrist and pulled him, the thug he was chasing, and the deadly virus to safety, audiences couldn’t help but smile.

From her epic entrance to the return of her iconic theme, this cameo just reminded us why Wonder Woman is easily the best thing to come out of the DCEU. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last we see of her.
