The thrilling first preview of Loki season 2 is here

Loki season 2 is on its way and Marvel has released the first preview of the God of Mischief’s return in an official synopsis. 

The God of Mischief is coming back to us. Tom Hiddleston’s beloved Trickster will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the second season of Disney Plus‘ Loki and audiences are ready to see where the story takes him next.

Loki was a huge success for Disney Plus, as the Marvel Studios series had an incredibly strong opening and proved to be one of the most popular of the MCU shows. Needless to say fans are excited for Loki season 2, especially given how important the character’s time-traveling mysteries are to the Multiverse Saga.

Now, as reported by The Direct, Marvel have released the official synopsis for Loki season 2, giving us all an idea of what’s to come in the God of Mischief’s sophomore Disney Plus adventure.

Loki season 2 synopsis previews the dangers of the multiverse

Marvel Studios has released the first official plot synopsis for Loki season 2 and it gives us all a preview of what to expect, including the characters we can expect to see and the dangerous multiversal adventure that awaits them.

"“‘Loki’ Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.”"

The first season of Loki concluded with the Gods of Mischief (Loki and Sylvie) finding He Who Remains at the end of time. The unusual character, played by Jonathan Majors, is a variant of Kang the Conqueror, who is set to be the MCU’s next big bad. He was also killed by Sylvie, resetting the timeline and allowing his more evil variants to come through.

With the Multiverse Saga playing into the MCU’s future so significantly, it’s safe to say Loki season 2 will be one of Phase Five’s most important outing. But can Loki, Mobius, and their team find Sylvie on time? What even is time anymore?

Loki season 2 premieres on Disney Plus on Friday, October 6 2023.
