Supergirl will be a fixture of the DC Universe going forward, but who could play the Girl of Steel if Sasha Calle does not?

A change is upon the DC Extended Universe. The Flash played a major part in that, as Barry Allen’s actions in changing the timeline have allowed a new world to take form. That world is known as the DC Universe.

DC Studios co-Chairmen and CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran look to reset things with a host of new movies. One of those movies will be Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which means that the Girl of Steel will be headlining her own movie for the first time in over 40 years.

We met the DCEU’s version of Supergirl in The Flash. The character’s second cinematic appearance ever, she was portrayed by Sasha Calle in what was undoubtedly one of the best performances from the movie. A Kryptonian hero from an alternate timeline, she helped the Scarlet Speedster and Michael Keaton’s veteran Batman in their battle against Zod.

It remains unclear if Calle will reprise the role going forward. After all, we’re getting new versions of Superman and Batman, so it is possible that the DC Universe could introduce a new Girl of Steel. We hope not, because Calle is full of potential and we only saw the beginnings of that in The Flash.

If they do, however, start again with the character, here are some amazing actresses perfect for the role.
