Claire Holt

Claire Holt is someone who was once associated the role of Supergirl. The actress was reportedly in the running to play the Girl of Steel in 2015’s Supergirl TV series on CBS, but the role ultimately went to Melissa Benoist. Nevertheless, it’s easy to see why she was considered for the part.

Not only does Holt look like the Girl of Steel with her long blonde hair, she’s an incredible actress. Best known for her role as original vampire Rebekah Mikaelson in both The Vampire Diaries and spinoff The Originals, Holt is a powerhouse performer who stole the show every time that she was on-screen in both shows. In fact, audiences were thrilled to hear she’d be a full-time part of the spinoff, and they were equally heartbroken when she moved to recurring status.

With her strong screen presence and captivating performances, Holt would have no problem capturing all of the elements needed for the Girl of Steel in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Her performance as Rebekah was both endearing and badass, and if the DC Universe version of Supergirl wants to go down the comic-accurate route, these are qualities that would be necessary in bringing the character to life.

She would be an amazing Supergirl.
