3. Fury at his best

Upon learning about Vasily Poprishchin, a bomb maker and gallery owner who the Skrulls plan to get the explosives for their next attack from, thanks to the previously mentioned camera, Talos and Fury decide to try and get to him before Sonya’s MI6 agents can.

When the duo arrives at Vasily’s gallery, Fury interrogates him to try and find out more information about where he keeps the bombs. It’s a great scene with some hilarious delivery from Samuel L. Jackson, who was clearly channeling a bit of Jules from Pulp Fiction in his performance. Realizing that he won’t give them information without force, Talos grabs Vasily, who reveals himself as a Skrull, and the two begin to fight. After trading blows, Vasily gets the upper hand on Talos but gets shot by Fury.

Throughout the episode, people keep calling attention to the fact that Fury is different, and for the most part, they’re right. The Fury that comes down is far more weary than usual and seems less sure of himself. However, this scene felt like we were slowly getting to the Fury we’re used to, so seeing him more in his element was certainly a highlight of the episode. The well-choreographed and well-shot fight scene that followed it was just a bonus.
