Guardians of the Galaxy 3 deleted scene suggests a terrifying truth
A deleted scene set to be included in the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 physical release suggests a terrifying truth might come to light.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is poised to make a stellar landing on digital platforms and home media so you can now cry like a baby in front of your children, following its successful stint in theaters.
Fans eagerly awaiting the home release will be delighted to find a treasure trove of bonus features and deleted scenes, including a key revelation about the ultimate destiny of the biggest asshole currently in the MCU – the High Evolutionary.
Are there Guardians of the Galaxy 3 deleted scenes?
There will be a total of eight deleted scenes peppered throughout the home media release of Guardians of the Galaxy 3. These scenes promise to treat fans to previously unseen footage that adds depth and intrigue to the film’s narrative.
One scene, tantalizingly titled “Knowhere After the Battle,” promises a gripping revelation about the fate of the High Evolutionary, portrayed by Chukwudi Iwuji. It suggests his capture and confinement in Knowhere, bringing up Scott Long’s terrifying question of “but what if we didn’t kill him?” at the end of Quantumania. Yeah, Scott. What if?
I guess we will find out.
The collection of deleted scenes includes the enlistment of Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter, into the new Guardians of the Galaxy crew, led by Rocket, and it also features lighter moments like “Annoyed Peter,” which, as one can guess from the title, shows Peter Quill, played by Chris Pratt, irked while tinkering with the shield. As an added treat, the home media releases will also contain a gag reel, a director’s commentary, and two intriguing featurettes: “The Imperfect, Perfect Family” and “Creating Rocket Raccoon.”
Speaking of raccoons, James Gunn dropped a little spoiler on Twitter regarding the deleted scenes and our friend, Rocket.
Serving as the final chapter in director James Gunn’s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) journey before his transition to DC, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 witnesses the team once again banding together to combat the nefarious High Evolutionary and a new threat, Adam Warlock. The film also delves deeper into the backstory of the much-loved but somewhat enigmatic Rocket Raccoon, shedding light on the origins of this fan-favorite character.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to launch digitally on July 7, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD releases following on August 1.
