3. Hated Demon Slayer characters: The mystery demon who killed Yuichiro

Although we know that the universe of Demon Slayer is pretty cutthroat, part of us wants to believe that children, no matter how young or old, would be off limits. But sadly, this couldn’t be any further from the truth, as young ones are what make up most of the demon slayer corps and, more importantly, because young ones are often the primary target of the demons due to their naive nature.

Case in point, Yuichiro.

Yuichiro, the twin of Muichiro (The Mist Hashira), had his life taken away from him by a mysterious demon who simply couldn’t leave the orphaned kids alone. We hoped and hoped that the young boy would make it out alive. However, after losing a surplus amount of blood and being subjected to such cruel violence, Yuichiro passed away, leaving his younger twin brother behind.

While a young Muichiro was able to avenge his brother, the fate that Yuichiro was subjected to by a demon, who no one knew by name, reminds us that no one is safe in this universe of demons, as every demon will do anything to satiate their appetite. And for that, we can’t help but despise the cruel race and anyone part of it.

What would make us hate Mystery Demon less? Since we know little-to-nothing about him, other than the fact that he killed a young child and nearly killed his twin brother, we don’t think there’s anything he could do that will make us hate him less. Simply put, he got what he deserved!
