Marvel might not be announcing its Fantastic Four cast at SDCC, but it seems Marvel Studios might have found its Sue Storm already.
Fans were overjoyed upon learning that Marvel Studios would finally have the opportunity to bring the Fantastic Four to the silver screen after numerous attempts.
After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, Marvel Studios regained the rights to the superhero team, the Fantastic Four. Fans of Marvel have eagerly anticipated their introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the good news is that the wait is almost over. The Fantastic Four will make their debut on the big screen in 2025.
Fans have been eagerly speculating about what actors might be chosen to play the pivotal roles in the movie. Across Twitter and Reddit, fans have taken to sharing their personal casting ideas and wishlists and there are a lot of amazing actresses who would be perfect for the role of Sue Storm in the movie.
There are many actresses whose names have been thrown into the mix, but it seems Marvel might have finally narrowed the field down to one.
Who is playing Sue Storm in Marvel’s Fantastic Four movie?
Although Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed any casting decisions for its Fantastic Four movie, insiders are reporting that actress Vanessa Kirby has been tapped to play Sue Storm in the upcoming film.
Trusted insider Grace Randolph is reporting Kirby has accepted the role of Sue Storm in Fantastic Four after Margot Robbie passed on the part. Randolph first reported Kirby was in the mix for the role in mid-June but then reports surfaced that Marvel was trying to book Margot Robbie for the role.
Of course, we’ll have to wait until Marvel officially announced the cast to know for sure whether Vanessa Kirby is taking on the role of the Invisible Woman in the film. However, Randolph has a solid track record of breaking casting announcements before they’re confirmed by studios so there is a strong chance that Kirby will indeed be joining the MCU.
