Sony may have just confirmed plans for an epic Spider-Man movie crossover

Sony seems to have hinted at the potential of what could be an epic Spider-Man movie crossover event fans would be thrilled to see.
In the last decade, Sony has been slowly but surely building up its corner of the Marvel universe.
At the heart of its franchise efforts has been Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, but beyond Holland’s Spider-Man, Sony has introduced Tom Hardy’s Venom and cracked open the Spider-Verse with the animated Spider-Verse. Next will it will introduce Kraven the Hunter to audiences and there are a handful of other projects in the works starring Spider-Man characters.
While the Spider-Verse franchise has given fans some epic crossovers, fans are clamoring for the chance to see more crossover action in Sony’s live-action films. Sure, we had a tease of a Venom crossover but it’s yet to have a payoff — though maybe that will change in Venom 3.
Many thought it would be the Venom films that would lead to the first major Spider-Man crossover; however, it’s looking like another iconic villain could steal Venom’s thunder.
Is Spider-Man in Kraven the Hunter?
Although it has not yet been revealed whether we might see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man appear in the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie, the odds of Spidey popping up seem higher than we might have originally anticipated.
When promoting the Venom movies, Sony avoided mention of Spider-Man within any of its promotional materials. However, in the synopsis for Kraven the Hunter, the studio includes a clear nod to Peter Parker’s web-slinging hero which has many wondering if he could perhaps pop up in the movie.
"“Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film.”"
As the synopsis notes, Kraven the Hunter will be set before Kraven becomes obsessed with Spider-Man but the fact that Sony chooses to clearly call out Spidey in the synopsis for the film has many speculating that perhaps Tom Holland could cameo at the end of the film as a way to set up the vendetta between the pair that could be used for future storylines.
Should Sony attempt to build toward a Sinister Six project, including a cameo from Holland would be the perfect way to tease the project. It could also help pave the way for a true payoff to some of the unresolved storylines with the likes of Vulture, Scorpion, and Venom.
