19. Spy X Family

This is a HUGE hit in our house, and as soon as you check it out, you’ll understand why. A spy-themed anime series that features a very small amount of fantasy violence (gunfire, physical altercations, explosions, and mild bloody wounds) and everything that comes with being a spy and having a telepathic kid who can read anyone’s mind. Lying and spying are themes, but it also underscores how the most untraditional families can still be loving and supportive in their own ways. I found this suitable for my 6-year-olds, and you can watch it on Crunchyroll.

20. Detective Conan

This long-running anime series features high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is transformed into a child and takes on the pseudonym Conan. The show is filled with mysteries and problem-solving, perfect for children aged 10 and up. It’s available on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
