New set photos reveal first look at upcoming Marvel film Deadpool 3

New set photos give us a first look at the upcoming Deadpool 3 film, and it looks like we got a new suit!

In the newly released set photo, we see actor Ryan Reynolds donning the iconic red suit of the merc-with-a-mouth with some minor tweaks. The costume seems more vibrant than its previous forms and with some small changes to the design. Some fans are for it while others are saying it’s a huge downgrade. Personally, I think it looks great and sometimes these costume changes help to tell these movies apart as well.

This is going to be the third film starring Deadpool, and it’s the first time being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already learned that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his legendary role as Wolverine in the film alongside Reynolds’ Deadpool, but, that’s just the beginning of the epic surprises the movie has in store for us.

Strong rumors suggest the film will be on the level of Sony’s No Way Home with its cameos and nostalgic moments. As of now, the confirmed cast is as follows:

  • Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool/Wade Wilson
  • Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
  • Stefan Kapičić as Colossus
  • Morena Baccarin as Vanessa
  • Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead
  • Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio
  • Leslie Uggams as Blind Al
  • Karan Soni as Dopinder
  • Emma Corrin as (unknown role, theories include Danger and Lady Deadpool)
  • Matthew Macfayden as (unknown role)

And as far as the unconfirmed but heavily rumored characters joining the highly anticipated film, the likely candidates include many of the Fox X-Men characters played by their respective actors including Halle Berry as Storm, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, Anna Paquin as Rogue, James Marsden as Cyclops, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto. From Disney Plus original Loki series, we may see Owen Wilson reprise his role as Mobius as the involvement of the TVA is rumored to be crucial to Deadpool 3‘s plot.

Deadpool 3 is still in production, currently filming, and programmed to have an early summer 2024 theatrical release.
