4 new Avengers we’re worried won’t appear in Avengers 5

Avengers 5 promises to bring in a new class of Avengers to face Kang, but we’re starting to get worried about whether these Avengers will appear.
The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty continues to generate excitement among fans as it promises to bring together a fresh wave of Avengers heroes for the first time within the MCU. With the departure of iconic characters like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, the stage is set for a new generation to step up and protect the world from impending threats.
Recent MCU projects, such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Moon Knight, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have introduced a host of compelling characters who could potentially join the Avengers’ ranks. These newcomers bring diverse backgrounds, unique powers, and fresh perspectives, injecting new life into the superhero team who hasn’t assembled on the big screen since the events of Endgame.
Fans are both eager and curious to see what team dynamics will emerge from these additions, but there is also a growing fear looming over the possibility of some new characters being left behind in the dust. The vast ensemble of the MCU can make it challenging to give each hero their due screen time and character development. Couple that with the fact that not every project has been as popular with the broader audience and there is an understandable concern that certain characters may become overshadowed or lost entirely in the crowd.
While there has been no confirmation over who might appear in the upcoming fifth Avengers movie, we’d be lying if we didn’t confess to being worried about whether these five characters will end up making the final cut.
4. Shang-Chi
Following the success of Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings, it seemed like a no-brainer that Shang-Chi would be a core member of the MCU moving forward. However, we haven’t seen the character at all in the MCU since his big-screen debut with not even a cameo in a post-credit sequence.
When you factor in that Simu Liu has since revealed that progress on his character’s sequel project has been stalled due to delays with the upcoming Avengers movies, it’s starting to become a worry that Marvel might drop the ball in sidelining one of its greatest new characters.
3. Moon Knight
If you ask me, Moon Knight is one of the best Marvel series to arrive on Disney Plus. Oscar Isaac delivered a truly masterful performance in the dual roles of Marc Spector and Steven Grant (yes, I know he also played a third persona but Jake Lockley only appeared for a hot minute). The show told a captivating story with an equally captivating hero at the heart of the action, leaving fans wanting more.
Unfortunately, there has been absolutely no talk from Marvel about what the future holds for Moon Knight with the character’s future left up in limbo. We don’t whether he’ll return for a second season of his self-titled show, let alone make an appearance in Avengers 5. Given how Moon Knight set itself outside the main MCU timeline with the film not directly tying into the broader MCU there is a chance Marvel will opt to exclude the character in the upcoming fight against Kang which would be a true shame!
2. Black Panther
Another ongoing mystery in the MCU is what the future holds for the Black Panther franchise after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The film was another blockbuster success for Marvel and was one of the best movies from the MCU’s post-Infinity Saga chapter.
With Shuri having now taken up the Black Panther mantle, it would seem natural she would join the Avengers in their upcoming battle against Kang. However, there has been no talk from Marvel about what might come next for the character within the MCU. This coupled with the controversy that surrounded Letitia Wright during the filming of Wakanda Forever, there definitely is reason for us to be concerned over her involvement in Avengers 5.
1. She-Hulk
While there is absolutely nothing I want more than to see Tatiana Maslany return as Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk in Avengers 5, I have the internet and its hoards of trolls to blame for my fear of the character being shut out of the upcoming Avengers plans. Despite being one of the most witty and charmingly fun series from Marvel Studios, many panned She-Hulk and made it clear they weren’t a fan.
Although Marvel hasn’t always listened to fans, the studio does tend to have a history of taking cues from what it thinks its audience wants. So while there is a large group of us who adored Maslany’s She-Hulk, the trolls made it clear to Marvel they’re not a fan which could make the studio gunshy about including her in Avengers 5.
We’ve seen Marvel’s track record for how it’s handled its female characters, so the studio hasn’t exactly instilled hope in that regard. Still, no Avengers team is complete without a Hulk and there’s no one better for the job than She-Hulk!
