Keke Palmer is arguably the No. 1 actress when it comes to fan cast choice for the role of Storm, however, there are six other talented women who’d kill it.

When you think of the X-Men, one of the most prominent members that comes to mind is Storm. So many fans were introduced to the mutant who controls the weather in the 90s in X-Men the Animated Series. The brilliance of voice actress Alison Sealy-Smith gave comic book fans a taste of the character they know and love.

In the year 2000, fans would see Storm come to life in the first-ever live-action X-Men film. Fans were understandably eager to see award-winning actress Halle Berry bring Storm to life. While the talented Ms. Berry did her thing, the Fox franchise failed to depict Storm in the light in which she deserved. Even when they tried to soft reboot the X-Men, this time with Alexandra Shipp in the role, Storm failed to live up to expectations.

With Kevin Feige planning to bring the X-Men to life in the MCU, fans have already begun fan-casting the role. For years, names like Yaya DaCosta and Naomie Harris have made their rounds in fan casting circles. However, no actress compares to Keke Palmer who has been the reigning fan cast champ when it comes to Strom. Though she expressed in playing Rogue. Sure, she looks good as Rogue but chill Keke, we really want you as Storm.

Speaking of Strom actresses, most recently breakout star Lashana Lynch had fans buzzing about the possibility. Even rising star, Tati Gabrielle has become a fan favorite to land the role. However, fans have voiced their concern about the black actress that should be cast.

Someone with deep, rich brown skin has become a somewhat important trait for fans. It’s why Jodie Turner-Smith, DaCosta, Lynch, and Janelle Monae were names often thrown around in fan cast. It’s understandable why, given the minimal opportunity granted to women those with the darker shade of brown. This list isn’t any different.
