4. Kiki Layne

Another fan favorite for Storm is rising star Kiki Layne. Fans have been clamoring for her to play the role for the last couple of years and she’s done nothing to stop her momentum. Fans were first introduced to her in If Beale Street Could Talk. The critically acclaimed film saw her shine as Tish, a resilient character who faces racism and injustice, making her a lovable, captivating, and inspiring figure. Tish’s determination and support for her partner’s freedom make her an intriguing character worth exploring.

Who can forget about her role in The Old Guard, which brought her one step closer to being a household name? In The Old Guard Layne showed the ability to embody a fierce and powerful character. And stole every scene with an all-star cast led by Charlize Theron.

Likewise, in Coming 2 America, she showcased her physicality and ability to command the screen, once again. All qualities that are often associated with Storm’s presence as a weather-controlling mutant.

Kiki Layne is one of those fan-favorite actresses who would kill the role of Storm. If the MCU wants an actress in the early stages of Storm’s heroism, Layne would be perfect for the role.
