3. Arsema Thomas
A lot of people may not know the name Arsema Thomas, but something tells me you will. Some of you know her face if you’ve seen one of the most popular Netflix shows, Queen Charlotte. Queen of television Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgeton spin-off gave Arsema Thomas a spotlight to shine, and she did. In the series, she plays the young version of a fan-favorite character, Lady Agatha Danbury.
Anyone who’s seen the original Bridgerton knows the fierce, independent, intellectual, snark Lady Danbury. Thomas’ portrayal was a youthful dead ringer to her adult counterpart winning the hearts of fans of the series. As Storm, she’ll get to play the familiar role of a prideful woman from a royal family striving for change and acceptance.
The 29-year-old actress would be the ideal fit for a Storm who is already part of the team. Thomas has the voice to pull off the commanding and captivating speeches fans of the 90s animated series love. And she looks the part.
Given Storm was among the second wave of X-Men, we’d get to see her play a bit of a background role in a film that will probably focus on the original members.
Even if she’s the focus, there’s a strong chance Thomas would absolutely flourish in the role. If the MCU needs a bit of an older Storm, similar to what the animated series and Fox’s original trilogy did, Thomas is perfect. She’s a fresh face actress with untapped potential and Storm would be the perfect role for her.
