2. Thor: Ragnarok
Thor: Ragnarok sees the God of Thunder return to Asgard to discover that Loki had taken over in his absence while pretending to be their father. After the two find a dying Odin in Norway with some help from Doctor Strange, he uses his final moments to tell them that they have a long-lost sister, Hela, the Goddess of death, who will return to bring about Ragnarok.
Hela shows up and fights them, chasing them through the Bifrost and causing the two to get separated. They eventually reunite on the planet of Sakaar, where they team up with Valkyrie and Hulk to try and prevent the destruction of Asgard before ultimately realizing that destroying it is the only way to defeat Hela.
Most people agree that Thor: Ragnarok is easily the best film in the Thor franchise. The massive style shift following Thor: The Dark World was a huge step in the right direction, bringing fresh energy to the franchise with Taika Waititi’s style of humor.
All of the characters thrived in the new tone, especially Loki. It gave us some of his funniest moments from the entire MCU, and it was nice to get some final bits of amusement from him before the character’s unfortunate demise.
