The Blue Beetle movie signifies a transformation in the superhero universe, but it might end up featuring a few unexpected DC cameos.

In Xolo Maridueña’s words, ”This is the first time that Blue Beetle is coming to the big screen, so that’s going to be amazing,”.

The premiere trailer has already garnered substantial attention, duly highlighting Reyes’ metamorphosis from a typical dreaming youngster into an unexpected hero burdened with immense responsibility – an arc regaled as the perfect blend of DC and Marvel superheroes with Maridueña even joking that Blue Beetle is like a “fusion of Green Lantern and Iron Man.”

The film springs from the creative genius of Angel Manuel Soto, director of Charm City Kings, who directed the flick from a screenplay by Mexican writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, bringing DC’s characters to life.
