The cast for the upcoming 2025 Superman Legacy has grown by 3 more as Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi have been added to the cast alongside Rachel Brosnahan and David Corenswet.

Superman Legacy doesn’t hit the screen until the summer of 2025 but, casting announcements have already made a splash as we had our Superman and Lois cast. Now today the film added three more to their growing list. Isabela Merced has been cast as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi will play Mr. Terrific, and Nathan Fillion will be playing Guy Gardner.

Isabela Merced is best known for her role as everyone’s favorite explorer in Dora and the Lost City of Gold as well as Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Hawkgirl has yet to appear on the big screen but, did appear in Legends of Tomorrow on the CW. Hawkgirl fly into battle carrying her well-known mace and is sure to pack a punch.

Edi Gathegi is no stranger to superhero films and can be remembered as playing the character Darwin in X-Men: First Class. He is set to tackle the role of Michael Holt also known as Mr. Terrific. Not only can he fight but, Mr. Terrific is better recognized for his outstanding intellect. Gathegi can be found in the franchise Twilight where he helmed the role of Laurent.

Meanwhile, Nathan Fillion who has always been fan cast as Booster Gold will be taking on a different DC superhero. He has been cast in the role of Guy Gardner. Gardner is not a well-liked hero as he is more often known to be obnoxious when wearing the ring. Gardner can be pinpointed by his iconic haircut which is the classic bowl cut that is rumored to make its appearance in this film.

The film is due to begin filming in January of 2024 however, it is unclear how the current writers’ strike and impending actors’ strike will impact this. Are you excited for the film? Let us know below!
