6. Michael Vlamis

When it comes to building a new roster of X-Men, it would be nice to see a mix of well-known actors, as well as actors that the world at large likely doesn’t know. If you are a fan of the old CW, then you probably have an idea of who Michael Vlamis is. For four seasons he was Michael Guerin, the alien bad boy of Roswell New Mexico.

Over the course of those four seasons, we watched the actor truly embrace not only his alien gifts but also his vulnerability and heartache. And those are things we want to see in our next Iceman.

When we watched Shawn Ashmore first bring Iceman/Bobby Drake to life, we got to see a mutant who was a bit on the tortured side, while also being vulnerable. He was a powerful mutant, but he was also not as confident as we might have liked.

We want an actor who can imbue a sense of vulnerability into Iceman, without making him seem like he is lacking in confidence. Not only that, but we want someone who can bring a sense of swagger and humor to the character, which is definitely something that Michael Vlamis can do with a character. After all, he has already done it on the small screen.

Vlamis would be an excellent addition to any X-Men team, and in particular, it just feels like he has what it takes to bring Iceman to life. And we wouldn’t mind seeing him grow with the role either.
