5. Nathan Parsons

Speaking of aliens of Roswell, Nathan Parsons is another one we can’t overlook as a solid contender for the role of Iceman. And considering Parsons is also known for his turn as a werewolf on The Originals, it’s not like he isn’t familiar with what it takes to bring unique characters to life.

In a lot of ways, portraying both a werewolf and an alien is exactly what we would expect from someone stepping into the role of an X-Men mutant. We want someone who has already showcased their ability to bring to life characters with unique abilities. And that is something that Nathan Parsons has done more than once.

There is also something about the actor that screams X-Men leadership, and it might have to do with this unique attitude that he brings to every role. He knows how to give us a vulnerable leading man, but he does it in a way that never has us doubting him or his strength. And it definitely helps that we believe that he can be a leader and a teacher. With just a look, he can make us believe that he is the person in charge.

Of course, with ice being the power of this particular mutant, we also want someone who has the ability to bring an icy demeanor to the forefront, and that’s something Parsons has been able to do repeatedly. Honestly, we have seen the actor give a look that could freeze a person in their tracks, so why not make it happen on screen for real?
