Marvel: 6 actors we want to see play Iceman in the MCU

4. Steven R. McQueen

The first time I watched Steven R McQueen on my screen in The Vampire Diaries, I thought he could be a movie star like his grandfather. And while he has certainly showcased some interesting range thanks to roles on TVD, Legacies, Chicago Fire, and in The Warrant, he has yet to have that breakout role we thought he would get.

That being said, I think he would make a brilliant Iceman. He has what it takes to be a leader, while also working well with others. He can steal a scene without taking away from anyone else’s moment.

We also have to consider the fact that he has been a part of a franchise that is all about individuals with gifts and powers, and that makes him uniquely qualified to step into a role as a mutant. And of course, he also has the kind of on-screen charisma we expect from a founding member of the X-Men.

Honestly, McQueen gives off the vibe of power that we expect from someone stepping into the role of Iceman (the swagger, the ability to make someone laugh, and the ability to take on anyone who thinks he is weak), and we can only hope that he gets a chance to shine as a superhero. He definitely has what it takes to be a member of this iconic superhero team, while also being able to bring vulnerability and strength in equal measure.
