1. Aaron Ashmore

Hear me out! I liked Shawn Ashmore as Iceman, but I always thought Aaron Ashmore would have been the better choice for the role (and yes, I know they are twins). The big reason for this is the fact that Aaron has already showcased his ability to really give life to characters involved in a world with magic.

Aaron Ashmore’s role in Warehouse 13 was enough to convince me that he would be a brilliant X-Men character. And then he took on the role of Duncan Locke in Locke and Key, which was another dive into a fantasy world. But let’s not forget that he was also a part of the series, Smallville, as the character of Jimmy Olsen. And that means that he already knows what it means to be a part of an iconic superhero franchise!

Basically, Aaron Ashmore is everything we want in a member of the X-Men and more. And honestly, I just think it would be brilliant to see him step into the role of Iceman (it is the MCU and they already have a multiverse to work with). I think his charisma and charm alone are what the character needs. The fact that he can also bring a sense of humor to the role and a strong perspective on leadership just seals the deal.

If ever there was a chance to make the new iteration of the X-Men something special, having Aaron Ashmore step into the role that his brother brought to life on our screens years ago would do it. And I have no shame in saying that I would pay good money to see this happen.
