The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is definitely one of the best of the Twilight movies. It’s the fifth and final movie of the franchise, and it premiered in theaters in 2012.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 continues Bella’s story after the birth of Renesmee. In the movie, we see Bella trying to grapple with her new abilities as a vampire. The main plot revolves around the Volturi believing that Renesmee is against vampire law. It looks like a big showdown is going to happen between the Volturi and the Cullens and friends, but after it’s revealed, we see that the battle does not actually take place. It’s just a vision that Alice has, and it enables peaceful cooperation and resolution.

Overall, this movie is solid, but I’m not a big fan of the twist ending. I really don’t like the dream sequence that shows what’s possible but not actually really happening.

As mentioned, I’m not a fan of the split-the-last-book-into-two-parts movies unless it’s really necessary. I think there’s overwhelming evidence that one of the movies suffers because there’s just not enough story to stretch out into two feature-length films with two satisfying conclusions. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is clearly worse than Part 2. In that sense, it’s great that the Twilight movies were able to go out on a high with the ending of Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the highest-grossing movie of the Twilight franchise. It nearly cracked $1 billion worldwide.
