Here are the best and worst uniforms Wolverine has worn in Marvel Comics graded and explained.

After 23 years, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will finally wear Logan’s iconic yellow and blue color scheme in a movie. Thankfully, the creative team working on Deadpool 3 knows what the fans want. Among those things is seeing Logan actually look like a comic book character in the movies.

The novice fan may only know about this uniform. It’s the most commonly used suit for promotions and animated features. Nevertheless, Wolverine has changed his costume more than a dozen times since debuting in 1974. He’s also had different ones in alternate realities as well. Here are 20 of them explained and graded.

16. Yellow and blue

It makes sense to start with this one. The first time Wolverine appears at the end of The Incredible Hulk No. 180, he’s wearing yellow and blue. Over the years, he’s always gone back to these colors. However, there are always alterations.

When Logan officially becomes an X-Man (Giant-Sized X-Men), the whiskers from his mask are removed and the ears are extended. This made Logan look less like an animal despite his namesake. At times he doesn’t have the giant shoulder pad either, but the blue will remain there when they don’t poke out. One thing that always seems to stay is the black stripes across the side. That’s more of a staple than anything else.

Overall, this is probably how Wolverine is most recognized.
