Is Bucky Barnes the Punisher?

Bucky Barnes is another candidate. He’s a World War 2 veteran who appreciates symbols. He was once Captain America. That means he once represented the entire country. As Winter Soldier, he could be one of the few mortals who’s killed more people than Frank Castle.

Bucky has always been ready to send out Punisher’s brand of justice. He knows weapons, has access to future tech, and is willing to take the shots no one else will. He’s also been known to torture people when he needs information.

Is Sgt. Rachel Cole-Alves the Punisher?

This writer hopes that Sgt. Rachel Cole-Alves is the next Punisher. The image used doesn’t have her physique, but this could be used to throw people off. She has all that it takes to take over for Frank Castle. Sgt. Cole-Alves is a former military and has a tragic story similar to Frank Castle. She’s fought alongside Frank, trained with him, and knows what it means to carry Frank’s legacy (read Punisher by Greg Rucka for that story).

She knows it’s more than just punishing the wicked. Above all else, you have to protect innocent people while you’re doing it. She gets this more than most. In terms of where she gets the tech from, it’s not as if she couldn’t steal it. Or maybe someone is sponsoring her war.

Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to see who’s replacing Frank Castle. It could be someone who no one suspects. Maybe even a new character.
