The sworn enemies turned unlikely allies had each other’s backs up until the series finale of The Walking Dead, but Maggie told Negan that she would never be able to fully forgive him for killing her husband Glenn. But even though time may not heal those wounds, the pair are thrown into each other’s orbit again for a new adventure set in Manhattan as Maggie seeks out the one man who can help her save her son Hershel.

How many episodes are in The Walking Dead: Dead City?

The Walking Dead: Dead City consists of six episodes. It’s one of three new TWD Universe spinoffs designed to catch us up with some of the original show’s main characters and show us how they are doing in the time that has passed since the series finale. All three of them will consist of six episodes each.

As for if there will be a second season, it’s still unknown as to whether the show is a one-and-done miniseries or a TV series with the potential for more. As this is just the beginning of the TWD Universe era, it definitely sounds like there is more Walking Dead to come, but whether that’s from Dead City remains to be seen.

How many episodes are left of The Walking Dead: Dead City?

As of writing, there is currently one episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City left and it will air on AMC next Sunday, July 23.

The first episode of Dead City premiered on AMC on Sunday, June 18 2023, with each of the remaining episodes coming each Sunday night for the five weeks after that. If you stream the show on AMC+, however, the first episode already premiered on Thursday, June 15, with new episodes being available to subscribers every Thursday.
