9. Michael Cassidy (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice)

We’re completionists, so Michael Cassidy is on the list due to the fact that he technically played Jimmy Olsen in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice; however, it doesn’t quite feel right to include him in any place other than last on this list due to the large fact that we never really got to know Cassidy’s Jimmy. This was because (spoiler alert) Zack Synder opted to kill his character for shock value, thus robbing us of the chance to see Cassidy play a fully-developed version of the character.

8. Tommy Bond (Superman,1948)

Tommy Bond’s portrayal of Jimmy Olsen in the Superman film series from the 1940s was iconic and remains deeply ingrained in the hearts of fans worldwide. Bond first appeared as the intrepid young photojournalist in the 1948 serial titled Superman, where he brought youthful energy and humor to the character.

His performance as Jimmy Olsen was endearing, capturing the essence of the eager and ever-curious Daily Planet reporter. Bond’s chemistry with the other cast members, especially with Kirk Alyn’s Superman, was delightful to watch, adding to the overall charm of the series.

Bond continued to reprise his role in the subsequent serial, Atom Man vs. Superman in 1950 with his depiction of Jimmy Olsen becoming a defining portrayal of the character for many years while inspiring future iterations of the role in various adaptations.
