2. Aaron Ashmore (Smallville)
Aaron Ashmore’s portrayal of Jimmy Olsen in Smallville left his mark on the character and in the hearts of the show’s dedicated fanbase. From his introduction in the show’s sixth season to his final appearance in the eighth season, Ashmore’s depiction of the young, intrepid photojournalist captured the essence of Jimmy’s classic qualities while also adding his unique charm to the role.
When Aaron Ashmore joined the cast of Smallville in 2007, he was stepping into the shoes of a beloved character with a rich history in the Superman mythos. Jimmy Olsen is often depicted as the earnest, loyal, and slightly bumbling young photographer who works for the Daily Planet. Ashmore embraced the character’s attributes and brought them to life on the screen with a fresh and endearing portrayal.
One of the aspects that endeared Ashmore’s Jimmy Olsen to fans was his natural chemistry with the other characters, particularly with Chloe Sullivan. His character’s romantic involvement with Chloe added a new dimension to Jimmy’s story and further endeared him to fans.
