Carol Peletier

Carol is without a doubt one of the best characters to ever grace The Walking Dead. She underwent a heap of character development throughout all eleven seasons of the show (more than anyone else, let’s be honest) and was one of the few original characters left by the time that the show concluded.

Since then, there has been a lot of uncertainty that she would return to the TWD Universe. At first, Melissa McBride was confirmed to be part of the Daryl and Carol spinoff but it was subsequently announced that she had departed the project. However, over a year later Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirmed that she would be back as Carol after all (seemingly in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon) and that McBride just needed a break.

The only thing is that the first season of Daryl Dixon was already filmed months ago. Was her return filmed as part of that, or are they planning to have her return full-time in a potential second season of Daryl Dixon (which has been rumored for some time now).

We might get lucky and see Carol make a cameo appearance in the first season of Daryl Dixon in October, but we’re really hoping that she’ll be back in a far greater capacity in the future. If the Carol and Daryl show does come to fruition after all, then don’t be expecting it to air this year.
