Star Wars: All 7 Clone Wars seasons ranked from worst to best
7. Season 1
Taking us back to where it all began for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we’re kicking off this ranking with the first season, which premiered on Cartoon Network back in 2008.
As the inaugural season of the show, The Clone Wars season 1 found its genesis in an episodic storytelling format, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that its origins were on television. Though this season had a lesser emphasis on character development compared to what would unfold in the following seasons, it was instrumental in laying the groundwork. It planted the seeds for what was to blossom into a rich tapestry of star-crossed intrigue and narratives deeply rooted in character arcs.
Central to this first season were a few key episodes that marked the introduction of seminal characters like Captain Rex and Ahsoka Tano. Despite the relative simplicity of this initial season and its subsequent lower ranking among its successors, it remains an indispensable part of The Clone Wars series. Its significance lies in setting the stage and defining the context for the character growth and plot complexities that would later captivate audiences worldwide. And it also helps us appreciate the graphics as they progressed in the making of the series.
