6. Jamie Dornan
Trying to figure out what the MCU has planned for the X-Men is impossible. One thing they can do is focus on Professor X, maybe a mini-series to give new fans an idea of the man that will lead the X-Men. One story that could serve as inspiration is God Loves, Man Kills. It’s a story that takes a deep dive into Professor X’s core philosophy of peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans. A story that showcases his belief in equality and dedication to understanding.
With an extremist preacher as the primary antagonist, the series would provide the type of conflict for Professor X to navigate through. God Loves, Man Kills highlights the discrimination the mutants face while maintaining his commitment to non-violence.
When it comes to casting the role of the charismatic mutant leader Professor X, there’s a certain charm that is essential. Professor X’s romantic storylines and intricate personal history are an essential part of his character depth. We don’t have to have it shown, but the actor playing him should be able to pull it off. Jamie Dornan has the talent and range to do that.
Professor X is known for his commanding presence, able to captivate and inspire those around him. Jamie Dornan has proven his ability to command the screen with his magnetic presence. His role as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise proved that. For those who aren’t convinced, Dornan does have the versatility. Check him out in Anthropoid, Marie Antoinette, and most recently The Tourist.
