4. Tom Ellis

With the MCU not shying away from introducing younger versions of established characters, Tom Ellis’s age (early 40s) aligns perfectly with the portrayal of a middle-aged Professor X.

Professor Charles Xavier is known for his magnetic presence and innate ability to lead. Tom Ellis has showcased his charismatic acting chops and commanding screen presence in his portrayal of Lucifer Morningstar in the hit TV series Lucifer. Fans of the show saw the charm and charisma Ellis effortlessly displayed. He showed the ability to portray a leader with a sense of authority, empathy, and gravitas. This makes him an ideal candidate to embody the essence of Professor X, uniting and guiding the X-Men.

Professor X is a character known for his depth and complexity. Of course, fans of Ellis know the Lucifer star proved his talent in delivering nuanced performances.

Maybe the MCU takes a different approach with Charles Xavier. Ellis’s portrayal of Lucifer has demonstrated his versatility in seamlessly blending wit, charm, and vulnerability. This modern interpretation of Professor X could infuse the character with a relatable and dynamic energy, similar to James McAvoy’s.
