7 TV shows still coming in 2023 (and 3 that aren’t)

The Boys is one of Amazon Prime Video’s most successful original TV shows, so it should have come as no surprise to learn that a spinoff was in the works. Somehow, someway, that spinoff is almost upon us.

Titled Gen V, it will focus on the next generation of this world’s superheroes. By that, we mean that the corrupt Vought International will be testing young superheroes in-training in the hopes of finding their next major stars (who they can use to make money on). As we’ve come to expect from Vought, this “testing” won’t be easy, as it will involve battle royal challenges in the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. Yes, that’s a thing in the world of The Boys. No, everyone probably won’t make it out of those challenges alive.

The show features quite the cast, with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cast members Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo reuniting, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Clancy Brown set to recur, and even Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy set to make a guest appearance.

It’s unclear if The Boys season 4 will still premiere this year or if it will be held until 2024, but Gen V will hold the line for those eager for its return, because the spinoff is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video this fall.
