Echo

Hawkeye was easily one of the biggest surprises of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney Plus era. While there was some excitement for the show, few could have predicted how joyful and entertaining it would actually end up being. It was also rather pivotal to the MCU’s overarching story, too, as it introduced us to Maya Lopez, a.k.a. Echo, and reintroduced us to Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.

The former is now set to headline her own Disney Plus series. Alaqua Cox will reprise her role in Echo, which is set for release later this year. The series could very well end up being one of the most important upcoming titles in the MCU, particularly as it is expected to set the stage for Daredevil: Born Again, with Charlie Cox and D’Onofrio once again set to reprise their respective roles as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk.

There was a lot of confusion about when Echo might come out. It was one of the first upcoming MCU shows to have its release date thrown into question, but while others have ultimately moved, Echo ended up holding its place as one of this year’s releases. Interestingly, its November release also will make history as it will be the first Disney Plus series to have all episodes released in one day.

Release date: November 29, 2023
