Jordan Peele’s transition from comedy to horror with his directorial debut Get Out in 2017 was a welcome switch for fans of the genre. The popular comedian started out his career in sketch comedy, serving as a cast member for Mad TV before creating his own show with friend and frequent collaborator, Keegan-Michael Key. That, of course, would be Key & Peele, the beloved comedy series that ran from 2012 to 2015.

And while Peele is undoubtedly hilarious, his true talents are really showcased behind the camera as a filmmaker, creating psychological stories that touch on important social issues like racism, and leaving a lasting impact on viewers.
