2. Ryomen Sukuna

There’s a reason why Ryomen Sukuna is the only cursed spirit on this list and it’s not because he’s one of the primary antagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen.

No matter what century, Sukuna has always remained on top as the strongest cursed spirit ever. Regarded as a calamity in his prime, he could bring even the strongest sorcerers to their knees, rendering their powers absolutely useless compared to himself. Even now, when he’s divided himself into 20 fingers, no one can deny the stress that would befall society if or when he ever comes back together as his whole self.

When it comes to his battle sense, Sukuna is also out of this world. For example, when he first possessed Yuji Itadori, he was the weakest he’s ever been (which is still very strong) and still didn’t completely get his butt handed to him by Gojo Satoru. Sukuna’s movement was crisp, his intellect was always on-point, and even when Yuji took his body back and took a trip to Sukuna’s domain, his cleverness led him to create a bet with Yuji that benefits him no matter what.

The version of Sukuna introduced to us in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen is only a sliver of his complete power. His cursed fingers haven’t all been found, nor is his true body isn’t put together. Even so, we’ve observed just how little that matters in the grand scheme of his battle against humanity.

What could make Ryomen Sukuna stronger: Since he’s been virtually sleeping for decades, Sukuna lives in a time that far proceeds his understanding. Between technological advances and cultural reform, he’s certainly out of place. But all these things pale in comparison to the fact that he’s now living in a world where Gojo Satoru exists. Safe to say, he hasn’t yet figured out how to counter his most terrifying opponent…yet.
