X-Men: SPOILER may have killed mutants, but there’s still hope
By Mark Lynch
Uncanny Avengers and Magneto
After being attacked by Orchis, Captain America (Steve Rogers) decided to bring back the unity squad (Uncanny Avengers). Steve’s team will have previous Avengers Rogue, Deadpool, and Quicksilver. They’ll be joined by X-Men Monet St. Croix and Psylocke who’ve never been Avengers. Their goal will be to fight back against Captain Krakoa (identity unknown).
With everything that’s happened, the mutants are going to need all the good press they can get. Particularly since the world sees Orchis and Nimrod as their saviors (this happened in the conclusion of Judgment Day A.X.E.). Working with Captain America is a good start.
Magneto is one of the strongest mutants in the universe and he wasn’t in this issue. He made his return in Scarlet Witch No. 5. Once he finds out what happened to his home, he’s going to want revenge. What’s even better about this is no one knows he’s alive. Plus, there’s no way the Scarlet Witch won’t help him.
Magento’s return will shift the momentum back in the X-Men’s favor. Orchis won’t see it coming. They assumed all of the Omega-level mutants were taken care of. Too bad they can’t keep a good mutant down.
