Beast avoids being killed by Wolverine and X-Force, and Logan leaves Krakoa forever.

We are a long way from the person Hank McCoy was when he was one of the first X-men. He’s been doing whatever he wanted since the Krakoan Age of X-Men. As time went on, morality became more of a suggestion to him. This leads to him taking his long-time friend and teammate Logan and turning him into nothing more than a feral animal (The Wolverine: Beast Agenda).

Logan already detested the way Krakoa was being run. He didn’t like politics. What Beast was doing with X-Force made things worse. He saw how Hank was okay with putting X-Force in deadly service of mutants. When he discovered that Charles Xavier let Beast run wild, he knew it was time for him to leave.

While it was an assumption that Logan was leaving Krakoa, the end of Wolverine issue No. 35 confirmed that he’s done with Krakoa.

Wolverine’s last Krakoan mission

Logan wasn’t arrogant. He called X-Force to help him capture and possibly kill Beast. With his friend Jeff Bannister’s life on the line, there was no way he’d let his pride allow him to make a bad decision. Unfortunately, Hank McCoy was prepared. He sent his clones out to negotiate with Logan and Maverick. By the time Jeff noticed they weren’t dealing with the real Beast, it was too late. Despite a brutal beating by Deadpool (who was cut in half). Hank McCoy escaped with the Cerebro Sword.

Logan told Sage that he was proud of her. Sage thought it was because of their previous mission to go after Hank. He told her it was for taking control of her life. Not just for standing up to the Quiet Council. Sage was losing her battle with alcoholism, but with the help of some friends and a lot of willpower, she won the fight. After that, she returned to being the amazing leader she once was.

He also mentioned how she’s the right person to lead X-Force into the future. Right after that, Sage asked Wolverine what was next for him. After putting his mask on, Logan said, “I’m here for you. But I’m done with Krakoa.”
