6. Bill Skarsgård

After seeing Bill Skarsgård in IT as the creepy, murderous Pennywise, is it any wonder that we think he would be a brilliant Nightcrawler (not because that is what Nightcrawler is as a character, but rather that level of commitment and ability to embody this character in a way that makes us believe he is the murder clown)? Honestly, the first time I watched Skarsgård in the series Hemlock Grove, my first thought was he should be a mutant.

One of the things I love the most about this actor is how he commits to the most unique roles. He doesn’t shy away from being different and for some reason, he seems to know how to embody a character that is completely outside of the normal. And not only that but he is also able to bring a sense of humor to things in a way that would be true to the comics as well.

All of this is to say that Bill Skarsgård would be a magnificent Nightcrawler. If he can make Pennywise as creepy and terrifying as he did, it just stands to reason that he could step into the role of an X-Men member and give him a level of depth that is impossible to ignore.

And if the MCU ever did decide that they wanted to give us the comic book leader version of Nightcrawler, the actor is exactly who we would expect to see in that role. As an actor, Skarsgård is someone we believe as a leader and as a member of a team. He also has what it takes to be a hero as well.

The fact that his father is an OG member of the MCU is just the added icing on the cake of why we think he would be a great fit for the MCU’s X-Men. It just feels fitting to add another Skarsgård to the Marvel family.
