New MCU actor speaks out on their role in Deadpool 3

The Crown actor Emma Corrin recently shared in an interview their excitement about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3 plot details are being kept as secret as possible, with the titular character officially coming to the MCU with the highly anticipated threequel set to hit theaters early next year. But an actor has just shared some insight into their role in the film.

In February, Ryan Reynolds tweeted that The Crown actor Emma Corrin would be joining the cast of Deadpool 3. It was later confirmed that Corrin would be playing the film’s villain. However, no further details have been shared on who exactly they will be playing.

While we haven’t gotten confirmation, there are many speculations that Corrin will be taking on the role of Danger, the powerful artificial being that was created from the danger room where the X-Men would have training sessions when Charles Xavier upgraded it with Shi’ar technology. Another popular choice was Ladypool.

Emma Corrin on playing a villain in Deadpool 3

Emma Corrin sat down with Empire magazine in an interview about the young actor’s success in current and upcoming projects. Corrin shared their excitement in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and as a villain nonetheless. Here’s a little of what the actor had to say about it.

"“I feel really excited to play a villain,” says Corrin of their role in the threequel. “I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch. I’ve watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mind-f**k. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.As homework goes, though, it’s proved an enjoyable ride. I really understand why it means as much as it does to so many people. It’s a phenomenon, and I feel really lucky to be part of it. Especially Deadpool, because I love the fact that it’s self-aware, and critical of its own inner-workings.”"

Whomever Emma Corrin will be playing they are sure to bring their a-game to the role and give an exciting villain for Deadpool and team to face off against.

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3rd, 2024
