20. Andrea Rojas

Andrea Rojas strutted onto Supergirl in its fifth season ready to make an impact, aided in no small part by Julie Gonzalo’s larger-than-life performance. But the character unfortunately failed to resonate with audiences in the way that she should have.

It might have something to do with the fact that Crisis On Infinite Earths rewrote part of her backstory, her rivalry with Lena Luthor, or her complete lack of care for journalism (in spite of owning CatCo at the time), but Andrea wasn’t exactly a fun addition to the show. That’s not to say there wasn’t potential, because again there definitely was, but that wasn’t fully realized.

Her dark side as the entity Acrata made her quite the force to be reckoned with, but she was constantly overpowered or outsmarted by Leviathan. And whenever they were defeated, she was relegated to a half-hearted Cat Grant (without any of the heart) as Kara’s cold and confrontational boss. Yes, that was the show’s final season, but surely there could have been something more fulfilling for her.

All in all, Andrea had her moments, but they were unfortunately far and few between.
