7. Who’s working for who

Comic book: Secret Warriors

Nick Fury had been fighting Baron Strucker since World War 2. It seemed like their rivalry would go on forever with neither side truly gaining ground over the other. During the latter part of Strucker’s life (Secret Warriors by Brian Hickman), he thought Hydra was controlling S.H.I.E.L.D. He was wrong. This entire time it was the other way around. What’s more embarrassing for Strucker is he had to admit he’d been working for Fury the entire time.

After Nick Fury explains what happened, he pulls out a gun and prepares to kill his longtime foe. Fury asks Strucker if he has any last words. Struckers says he does, but Fury says, “Too ****ing bad” and kills him before he can get out his final thoughts.

6. God Doom

Comic book: Secret Wars (2015)

Victor von Doom did the impossible. He became a god and saved the remaining multiverses from destruction. All that was left was the world he created (Battle World). A realm that combined multiple realities to form one Earth.

In this place, Doom’s power was unmatched. Thanos didn’t believe this to be true. He said that he held the powers of a god once when he wielded the Infinity Stones and that he (Thanos) would be enough to take on Doom. The newly formed god reached into the Mad Titan’s chest and ripped his skeleton out. Doom holds his enemy’s spine and says, “That appears untrue.”
