3. Charles Michael Davis

It’s hard to deny that vampires might be a winning key to finding our next mutant. And one vampire who has what it takes to be the next Remy LeBeau has to be the dashing Charles Michael Davis. Once a vampire on The Originals, Davis has a charm and charisma that is hard to ignore (or to resist).

In a completely aesthetic approach to the character, Gambit is known for his signature trench coat, which actually makes him stand out from the other X-Men in terms of suits. And after seeing Charles Michael Davis walk the streets of the French Quarter in some rather stunning coats, it just seems like he has what it takes to make that look his own.

Beyond the looks, there is the fact that as Marcel on The Originals, Davis was able to give us a complex character who was both charming and powerful. He was both a lady’s man and a wicked bad guy turned hero. He was all about saving his people and defending them against those he once considered to be family.

Over the course of the series, we got to see so many different facets of the character that it is hard to deny that he has every single quality we would want to see in our next Gambit and so much more. And honestly, there is something about the actor that makes him stand out from a crowd, even when he is not the center of attention.

He is a scene stealer and a leader and someone we could absolutely see stepping into the MCU and making a name for himself.
