7 actors who should’ve replaced Henry Cavill as Superman instead of David Corenswet
1. Chase Stokes
Thanks to Outer Banks and that Pogue life, we have Chase Stokes on our radar. And his height combined with his ability to be both a bad boy and an adventurer is enough to make us think alien superhero. Honestly, there is something special about Stokes and what he brings to our screens.
While the actor does not have a large resume to his name, he does have some interesting roles under his belt already. And while his character of John B Routledge on Outer Banks might be the one he is most known for, we can’t help but think that the fact that he was in an episode of Stranger Things is actually a good thing as well.
He might seem like a weird choice thanks to his smaller resume, but that actually makes him a great pick. Stokes is not necessarily well known by a larger audience, which is good for a role like Superman, because we don’t really want an A-lister stepping into the role. We want someone who will make the hero his own and shine. And that’s something that Chase Stokes would be able to do based on what he has already done with his character on Outer Banks. He gave that character life and a personality that makes us root for him, even when he is doing something ridiculous or stupid.
Chase Stokes’ ability to be a scene stealer is perfect for the role of the next Man of Steel and also one that means that if he was given a chance to be a lead in a comic book movie, he would likely become an A-lister in his own right. Watching him on screen is like seeing the future of entertainment and we have to love that.
