Between the riveting episodes full of life and color and the ever-growing fanbase full of people of all ages and backgrounds, there’s no mistaking that Demon Slayer is one of the best anime series of today! (And probably in the future!)

The Shounen anime, which premiered in 2021, tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy ridden with grief after he discovers his family was slain by an evil demon. Amid his devastating shock, he finds that his younger sister, Nezuko, is still alive, but not in the way he remembers her to be, as she is now a demon, hungry for blood and only lurks about when the sun falls.

Despite the world’s feelings about demons, Tanjiro refuses to give up on his sister, so he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to not only get stronger but also find a way to make her human again. Thus begins Tanjiro’s tumultuous yet necessary journey to avenge his slain family and ensure that no one ever has to experience the life he has.

A story as flawless as this one definitely deserves a rewatch to re-experience Tanjiro’s journey thus far. But we believe there’s an order that you should re-binge this award-winning anime for optimum enjoyment.

Here are all three seasons of Demon Slayer ranked from worst to best!

Demon Slayer seasons ranked

While we know every season of Demon Slayer is phenomenal in their own right, we believe that there are some that are stronger than others. Be it because of the storytelling and animation or because of the characters and pacing, certain installments of the anime fall flat over time while others rise above the rest, aging like fine wine.

While this may be a controversial take, here’s which season of Demon Slayer we think didn’t quite compare to the rest.
