All 3 Demon Slayer seasons ranked from worst to best

The Mugen Train Arc
Even though the Mugen Train Arc isn’t technically a season in the way that we’re accustomed to, we still think this amazing story deserves a place on this list because if it were a regular season, we would absolutely rank give it the top spot.
In this arc, Tanjiro and his friends embark on a train that is said to be responsible for the deaths of many people. There, he encounters a Lower Rank demon that, while strong, wasn’t something Tanjiro couldn’t handle. However, the hardship didn’t stop with that demon, as right after our demon slayers thought they saved the day, they were greeted by a formidable foe, Upper Rank demon Akaza.
Undoubtedly, the events in this arc shaped Tanjiro greatly, as it was the first time he truly grasped how weak he is compared to the likes of Akaza and Flame Hashira, Rengoku Kyojuro. So much so that he was left with no other choice but to sit back and watch Akaza and Rengoku fight to the death.
As for Rengoku, he didn’t give up, nor did he ever give in, even with his unfortunate fate sealed. This is why this Hashira is the pride of Demon Slayer.
Rengoku’s presence alone was unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, leaving you amazed that such a person exists. When Rengoku sadly passed away, it left a remarkable hole in the hearts of not just Tanjiro and his friends but also all who watch this anime series. (Admittedly, we would give anything to see him alive again and we know Tanjiro feels the same, too.)
And last but certainly not least, what makes this installment flawless is that we finally got to see Tanjiro have his back against the wall with no exit in sight. Don’t misunderstand us, we love and adore Tanjro; it’s just a loss here and there that reminds us that he’s a human being just like us and fails every now and then.
Simply put, the Mugen Train Arc felt the most realistic for this series.
Rating: A++
Whether you decide re-watching Demon Slayer in order is the way to go or decide to give our list a try, every installment of this title is truly a sight to behold. We even argue that future generations of anime watchers will say the same when it’s their turn to give the show a watch. To that end, now’s a better time than ever to give Demon Slayer another watch on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.
