Deadpool 3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel movies yet, with cameo rumors running rampant. Here’s every rumor released so far!

Remember when everyone thought Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was going to break the internet with cameos galore? Well, we might not have been treated to the number of cameos we hoped for in the 2022 Doctor Strange sequel, but if even just half of the rumors circulating around the Deadpool 3 cast come to fruition we could be for one crazy cameo-filled mashup!

Little is known about the plot for the upcoming third film starring Ryan Reynolds as the merc with a mouth aside from it will welcome Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Oh, and the fact that it will also bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the first time since he walked away from the character in 2017’s Logan. 

Jackman’s return as Wolverine is one of many returns that Disney is rumored to be looking to pull off in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel projects yet.

It seems like every day a new rumor emerges about an actor who is set to cameo in the movie, which seems to be primed to pay homage to the 20th Century Fox Marvel movies set outside of the MCU.

Deadpool 3 cameos

Although Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine is the only casting rumor that has been confirmed, the internet has been a buzz in recent months about who might be making an appearance in Deadpool 3. The list of rumored cameos continues to grow with each passing week and has become so crazy it’s impossible to keep track of the many actors rumored to appear.

From former X-Men to current MCU favorites, here is a breakdown of every actor who is rumored to appear in Deadpool 3! Last Updated August 16, 2023. 

• Jennifer Garner is rumored to reprise her role as Elektra nearly 20 years after her solo film hit theaters.
• While fans will be getting to see Charlie Cox back as Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, rumor has it Ben Affleck will be suiting up as Daredevil in Deadpool 3, reprising the role he originated in the 2003 film.
• Taron Egerton is rumored to make a cameo in the role of Wolverine, playing a variant of the character in a move that is expected to resemble the cameo from John Krasinski in Multiverse of Madness which fulfilled fan’s dream of seeing Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic.
• Several members of the Loki cast are expected to make an appearance in the film including Tara Strong‘s Miss Minutes, Owen Wilson‘s Mobius, and a Loki variant played by Tom Hiddleston. 
• MCU mainstay Elizabeth Olsen is rumored to play a key role in the film with some reporting we’ll get to see Earth 838 Wanda back, with other rumors hinting we could see Olsen as a Scarlet Witch who shares a strong connection with Magneto.
• Speaking of Magneto, the rumor mill is running rampant that we’ll get to see Ian McKellen back as Magneto in the movie. Not only is McKellen rumored to return, but there is speculation he could be a version of the character who shares a strong connection with his comic-book daughter, the Scarlet Witch.
• While a Gambit solo movie no longer appears to be in the cards, Channing Tatum is rumored to get the chance to play Gambit in the film as a way to celebrate the movie that never was.
• Gambit isn’t the only X-Men who is rumored to be making an appearance in the film! There is speculation that Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, and Brian Cox could be reprising their respective roles as Professor Charles Xavier, Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and William Stryker in the film.
• Many have speculated we could see some familiar faces from 20th Century Fox’s Fantastic Four movies with Chris Evans potentially cameoing as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Julian McMahon potentially returning as Doctor Doom.
• A Logan reunion could be coming in Deadpool 3 as Dafne Keen is rumored to reprise her role as Laura Kinney/X-23 in the movie.
• Perhaps the most unexpected rumor released in recent months is that Taylor Swift will make a cameo as X-Men member Dazzler.
