Love, Death + Robots: 15 of the best episodes ranked from worst to best
12. “Mason’s Rats”
As the first light of dawn pierces the horizon, Farmer Mason stands determined, shovel in hand and at the ready, prepared to shield his territory from an unexpected rat invasion. But, he finds out the hard way that these are no ordinary pests – they have set plans, strategies, and……. weapons. With every trench he carves and every trap he lays, Mason realizes that this battle won’t be easily won.
As night engulfs the farm, it sets the stage for bullets zinging by and the eerie shining of rodent eyes becomes a terrifying reminder that this war has just begun, forcing Mason to grapple with not just the rats but also the brutal truths of warfare. In this intense face-off, it’s a game of wits and survival, with Mason pitted against a relentless mouse army, where victory means everything.
11. “Snow in the Desert”
In the vast expanse of the cosmos, on a desolate wasteland of a planet, a man known only as “Snow” lives and survives. This never-aging, eternal wanderer, with pale white skin contrasting the parched earth, finds himself the target in a relentless hunt led by merciless mercenaries.
When it seems his journey might be cut short, a mysterious and beautiful woman named Hirald emerges from the shadows. Yet, as she becomes his savior, it soon unravels that her intentions for Snow might be just as dangerous.
Also, props to the CGI crew for this short – the vividly rendered animation is so flawless that you’ll find yourself questioning if it’s real or not.
